WEEK TWO - PHASE TWO

SECOND WEEK OF PHASE TWO

Day 6

The day (10/11/2025) began with the school assembly, during which students who won prizes in the Kalotsavam were congratulated and appreciated. As Smt. Fathima Teacher was on leave, Aswani and I handled all the Sanskrit classes for the day. I took my lesson for Class VII during the third period and also prepared two students for Kalotsavam events. In the afternoon, I handled a substitution class for Class VII. The day enhanced my confidence in managing multiple classes.

Day 7

Today (11/11/2025), Since Smt. Fathima Teacher was again on leave, Aswani and I continued handling the Sanskrit classes. I took my lesson for Class VII during the second period and for Class IX during the fourth period. In the afternoon, I led a class demonstration session for junior students at the college, which provided an opportunity for reflection and peer learning.

Day 8

Today (12/11/2025) began with my first period in Class VII. Shiba Teacher arrived for class observation. During the fourth period, I took my lesson for Class IX, where I briefly introduced Vallathol Narayana Menon using pictures and explanations. Though the students were talkative and the class was noisy at times, I managed the session effectively. Later, a UP school teacher assigned me the duty of writing students’ names on a sheet, which I completed as instructed.

Day 9

Smt. Fathima Teacher was on leave today (13/11/2025) also, Aswani and I handled the Sanskrit classes. I took Class VII during the second period and a substitution class for Class IX B in the third period. I interacted closely with the students, and one student voluntarily sang, making the session lively. From 2:00 pm to 3:15 pm, a drug abuse awareness programme was conducted by the Lions Club. The Headmaster assigned me the duty of preparing the programme report, which helped me understand documentation responsibilities in school administration.

Day 10

Today (14/11/2025), As it was Children’s Day (November 14), many students participated in a rally held at the University Stadium, resulting in low attendance and limited classroom activities. I handled a substitution class for Class VIII B. Students of Class X B were taken for PT. Since it was the Vettucaud Church Festival, schools under the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation were given a half-day, and classes were dismissed at 12:30 pm.

Week Two provided extensive experience in handling Sanskrit classes, managing classroom behaviour, and participating in co-curricular events.
